The Tour
The Tour
This will be an epic bike and speed boat tour of Portland harbor's island fort and light house systems with drinks and lunch included.
We start on bikes at the Eastern promenade rolling down the hill and towards the Eastern trail.
When we reach the wharf, lunch and beers wait for the guests as we get onto the boats. The group will eat on one of the island spots or on boat.
Boat speeds up the diamond pass where we talk about the harbor's history and key geographic features before guests are given up close and unique perspectives and stories of the harbor's Calendar island fort and lighthouse systems.
Islands/Forts to be visited:
- House island (Fort Scammel)
- Fort Gorges
- Rams head light house (Rams head ledge)
After the harbor tour portion, guests are dropped at the boat’s final stop (Peaks Island) where guests will take a ride on bikes around the island's perimeter loop and can choose to explore its heavy artillery fortifications of the Second World War (Battery Steele)
Guests will ride out of the tunnel and into the afternoon sun as they finish the island loop and the experience ends as guests exit Peaks Island via CBL ferry and return to Portland.
